You have a budget, just like we do. The recurring donations from our GEMs provide us with income we can count on for our every day needs. Will you join them?
It costs about $18 to provide housing and support to a man for a day. And it works, homelessness is not permanent.
Twenty-one years ago, Bob was a homeless alcoholic living in a tent in Baltimore City. When he was ready to make a change, we opened the door for him and he took the steps to change his life.
Now he has been sober and housed for 21 years. He volunteers at the numerous Alcoholics Anonymous meetings he attends, He provides hope for the newcomers. He has traveled by airplane, one of many things he never thought he would do.
He has had ups and downs, but through them all he has maintained his sobriety, all because the door was open for him to take the first step.
